How to Knit Bobbles

There are a number of methods that can be used to knit a bobble and in this tutorial I'm sharing one of my favourites. It creates a bobble which looks similar to a crochet bobble, but without the need for a crochet hook.

1.

Knit into the front then back of the same stitch until you have seven stitches. This can be written as kfbfbfbf.

2.

Pass the second stitch on your right needle over the first stitch and off the needle. Repeat this for the remaining five stitches to decrease back to one stitch.

3.

Slip this stitch back to your left needle and knit it.

4.

Slip this stitch back to your left needle again and knit it.
