Featuring simple but interesting-looking cables and columns of purl stitches, the Grove Hat is a cold weather staple. Knitted in the round from the bottom up using DK weight yarn, this hat includes a folded brim for extra warmth.

Needles

Main fabric: 4mm - 16” / 40 cm (use the needle size needed to achieve gauge). For the crown shaping you’ll also need your preferred type of needles for small circumference knitting in this size, e.g. DPNs or a longer circular needle for magic loop.
Ribbing: 3.5mm - 16” / 40 cm circular (use the needle size 0.5mm smaller than the main fabric needles).
