The Honey Cowl is Complete
After a couple of months of working on it on and off, this cowl is finally finished.
I started knitting this cowl back in November when I went on holiday, using a skein of DK 'Take the A Train' from Beehive Yarns which I had purchased at Yarndale. It's turned out very well, I worked on it quite consistently over the Christmas break so it only took a bit of spare time over a couple of weekends to get it done.
I would definitely recommend this as a good project for using a single skein of DK, particularly if you've bought one which is a bit special. I've noticed that the texture of the cowl really shows off the colours in the yarn, so I'm very glad I picked yarn with such a variety of colours and tones, I think it makes the cowl look a lot more interesting.
I wouldn't be surprised if I knit another one of these in future, I'm sure I'll end up purchasing another skein of DK which will be perfect for this pattern. As I mentioned in my previous post about this cowl, the pattern is very easy to follow. It's a great project to work on while you're watching TV, or needing to focus on something else, as it doesn't need your full attention.
I'm very excited to start wearing this cowl, it fits very nicely and I don't think it could've turned out any better, the yarn is also very soft so I'm sure it'll be comfortable to wear. If you've been considering knitting a Honey Cowl I would definitely recommend it.
