Spectrum Fibre June 2020 Neon Yarn Club

After loving the yarn I received from Spectrum Fibre's May neon club, I signed up again to receive the June colourway and haven't been disappointed!

Spectrum Fibre's Neon Yarn Club is a monthly yarn club, each month you can sign up and pick which base you'd like, whether you want 1 or 2 skeins and there's also an option to add mohair. The yarn will be always be a totally new colourway and is a complete mystery until you receive it. Last month was my first time signing up and I loved it.

At the end of May I signed up and towards the end of June my order was dispatched, two days later I received it. The yarn was wrapped in lovely glittery tissue paper as usual and I couldn't wait to open it up.

Spectrum Fibre Peacock
Spectrum Fibre Peacock and Blue Planet

June's colourway was 'Peacock', it features blues, turquoises and greens, with plenty of speckles. It's a really lovely and unique colourway; I definitely don't have anything similar in my stash. I'd purchased a single skein in the sock base, as I knew that would give me a lot of options for projects I could use it for - I could even just make a pair of socks.

I haven't decided on project for this skein yet, but I have taken a look through my stash to find other skeins it could go well with. I found 'Blue Planet' which is also from Spectrum Fibre (I received it for my birthday last year), it's a very different colourway but does feature some green speckles that match 'Peacock' really nicely, so they might end up being used together in a project.
